I don't know why it bothers me so much that Liz Smith and Cindy Adams collect paychecks for columns that are based solely on antiquated quotes and opinions. With a collective age of 150, these two doyennes have not had a scoop since the Truman Administation. And now comes this biased gem from Adams, "Sideways" set a record for a non-handsome leading man creating an Academy Award-nominated movie. Also a record for the most of us walking out of the theater mumbling, "I still don't get it."
